I love one-on-one mentoring whether it be online, in person or a combination of both! I’ve had over a thousand students from all over the world, and I really mean it when I say that passing on what I know about photography is my pleasure. In the midst of my crazy and busy life with 8 kids, photography has been such a blessing to me, and if I can share that with you, then we both win! But I do understand that the classes that I offer just may not work for you. Maybe the dates don’t work with your schedule, or you’d like to work at a faster pace. Maybe you’d like to learn something that isn’t covered in my classes like critiquing your website or Photoshop skills. Or maybe you’re just the type of person that learns best with individualized attention and there’s nothing wrong with that. Whatever the reason, I’d like to work with you.
What does One-on-One Mentoring cover?
Basically whatever you want! If I know it I’m more than willing to share it! Technical skills, editing in Lightroom and/or Photoshop, business information, website and/or photo critiquing, even my very-popular banana muffin recipe!
How does on-line mentoring work?
Well before we get started, we’ll work together to determine what you want to get out of our time together and set up some goals. Even if you’re not sure what those goals are yet (most students aren’t) I can look at your images and determine some things that’ll take your skills to the next level. After we’ve figured out our objectives, we work together via a private group just for you and me, video calls, emails, messaging… really whatever works for you! I’m available Monday-Saturday to work with you. I usually touch base with my mentoring students daily. Got questions or need clarification as we go? No problem! I ususally reply back within the hour if not faster. Do you like or despise homework? Either way, I got you covered. Need to skip a day? It’s your class so it’s all good. Some one-on-one mentoring students only need a couple weeks to accomplish their goals. Others have worked with me longer, up to 6-8 weeks! It all depends on how fast you’re willing to work on the material I give you.
Golly, that depends on the goals we’ll establish together. But generally you’ll need a DSLR camera, access to the internet, a Facebook account, and enthusiasm and time to practice. If you’re interested building your editing skills you’ll also need the Lightroom and/or Photoshop programs installed on your computer.
How much does it cost?
For customized, one-on-one mentoring I charge a $149 set-up fee so we can establish our objective(s), and I can put together a plan just for you! Additionally, I charge $149 a week with a 2-week minimum. After 2 weeks, you can choose to discontinue or pay week to week as you go. Your dates are reserved just for you at time of registration. Payment is taken via Paypal (which accepts all major credit cards)
